Obamacare

Isnt this sort of  “The end justifies the means”? We NEED universal healthcare REGARDLESS of the sacrifice? I dont think anyone will dispute that we need a system to control the cost and affordability of health care, but its not at the risk of any liberty granted to me by the constitution.

Everyone applauding Obamacare just remember this old quote -

“In Germany, they came first for the Communists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist;
And then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist;
And then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew;
By the time they came for me, there was no one left to speak up.”

– Poem based on speeches by Pastor Martin Niemöller (1892-1984)

You let the government overstep its reach, you let them start taking things away because it benefits you now, you are just stepping in line and waiting until its YOUR turn to have something taken away.

    First they make it illegal to commit suicide, then they make it illegal to forego adequate healthcare?!?! When will the tyranny stop?!?! Next thing you know, they’ll make it illegal to not love puppies.

      Exactly! I am glad you are seeing the light! Next they will refuse to allow poverty…..wait, they already did that?….uhm…. OK, no more rich people!…..oh, yeah, they are working on that too….Well they will certainly require you to be safe at some point in your own personal vehicle….oh yeah, seat belts…..Well, NO SMOKING…..nevermind…..

      Now come further into the fold, my sheep…. stand against the machine!

        By the way, the word ADEQUATE was a nice touch, you may have the right stuff to be part of the media machine.

    I study the media machine. It is an intricate device that offers many curious insights into human nature.
